Swedish people have heartbeats, too.

Everybody knows that José González song “Heartbeats,” right? Maybe you didn’t know that Mr. González is not actually the original author of the song. Heartbeats was originally written and performed by a Swedish duo called “The Knife.” Here is a video of their very different, very European version of Heartbeats, which features lots of skateboarding children and animated birds. Go watch and listen.

After watching, I learned two things:

  • González must have a pretty killer mind for music to be able to translate that song to a quiet guitar piece, and
  • Swedish people have ridiculously great ideas for videos.
  • Kevan is a life-size replica of a 5'8" tall human being, and comes with several interchangeable outfits and a realistic haircut. With a BA in Communications from Trinity Western University, Kevan’s professional writing, graphic design, web and creative consulting services are available for hire. Kevan resides with his beautiful wife Kendra in Vancouver, BC, and is generally a nice person.

    1. Hi Kevan,

I tried to watch the video you linked to but I couldn’t find it on the page.

I guess I’ll have to search around on YouTube as I’d like to see the version you speak of.

      Hej Da,
